About RiddleWharf & Contact

How our independent British browser puzzle guides are compiled from official publisher information, who operates this harbour, and how to reach the watchtower by email.

CHARTER I · PURPOSE & SCOPE

What RiddleWharf Is

RiddleWharf (riddlewharf.org) is an independent British guide to nine free-to-play browser puzzle and logic games across deduction grids, crosswords, arithmetic equations, classical geometry, computer architecture and spatial tile-stacking.

Each game featured along our three harbour berths is presented through a factual briefing that explains how its rules and mechanics work in play, a standardised facts strip checked on , and a direct outbound link to the game’s official website. We do not host or embed games on our own servers, and we do not award review scores, star ratings or rankings.

Our game guides are based on information published by each game's developer or publisher and on official store pages, checked on 26 October 2026. We don't score or rate games.

Written for players aged 16 and over.

THE WATCHTOWER VERIFICATION PROTOCOL How Every Game Dossier and Facts Strip Is Checked

Every game on RiddleWharf is free to play in a web browser, with any optional in-game purchases, advertising, account options and chat features stated clearly in its accompanying facts block. We verify all facts directly from official developer and publisher sources on .

Price & In-Game Purchases

We inspect the official web version and publisher documentation to verify whether a game is free to play with no in-game purchases (such as Clues by Sam, NandGame, 2048 and Jigsaw Explorer), or whether it offers optional supporter tiers, newspaper subscriptions or store items (such as The Guardian Crosswords, Nerdle, Sudoku.com, Euclidea and TETR.IO).

Advertising in the Browser

We record whether the browser edition runs with no advertisements or displays third-party ad banners or video ads during play, and whether optional subscriptions or ad-free passes remove them. Every facts strip states the exact advertising status alongside the check date.

Account Requirements

We check whether a visitor can launch and solve puzzles immediately without registering, or when an optional account is available to sync progress across devices, enter ranked ladders or manage a subscription. None of our nine featured games requires an account for core browser play.

Chat & Player Interaction

We verify whether play is strictly solo with no player-to-player messaging, offers a shared multiplayer link without built-in chat (as in Jigsaw Explorer), or includes public and room text chat in online lobbies with moderation and reporting tools (as in TETR.IO). Parents and carers can read further guidance on our Parents & Carers page.
